The project SuPoshan targets to employ community based approach to address above two issues in about 250 villages across India at 10 locations. The project has three pronged strategy i.e. promoting awareness, building institutional capacity and knowledge-base in form of Sangini and networking with existing government schemes.
The Project draws inspiration from Satyagraha movement in terms of engaging people and bringing about change similar in scale to India's freedom movement where people get involved to take action for 'creating a culture of cleanliness'. asset creation, but also meaningfully
With financial support from AF, I could not only come out of the debt trap, but the Janashree Bima Yojana also covered me from further risks. My sons were also facilitated to continue their studies in high school.
Just during the phase when my family was struggling to get me a right platform for nourishing my athletic skills, Adani Vidya Mandir, Ahmedabad happened to me. Had it not been AVM, I would not have achieved my dream.
I am elated that today with Adani Foundation’s support and intervention, I am able to start my second vermi-compost unit on my own. This has not only elevated the financial status of my family, but has also increased my self-confidence.
The crime rate has gone down; young men have stopped gambling by the roadside; safety of women has gone up; children are able to play after sunset; and night-time accidents have reduced substantially.
My hands don’t look dirty anymore. Thanks to Adani Foundation for coming up with such noble initiatives.
I could not believe that Muskaan, my daughter was able to recite such a beautiful poem. It is such a delight for me to see her evolve and grow at so many levels through her learnings from the school. The education so provided not only helps her excel academically but is also making her a better person with every passing day.
As soon as I discovered that the health care van regularly visits my village, has a good doctor accompanying it, and provides medicines free of cost, I decided to approach them. I received a good medical facility coming right to my village, medicines which didn’t cost anything, and sound advice from the doctor regarding preventive care, hygiene, and diet. Today I am cured of Chronic Dermatitis.
