Biogas Construction Programme

Tiroda

Adani Foundation with its holistic understanding of people’s needs has been successful in coming up with the initiative around the construction of biogas plants focusing mainly on reducing women’s overall work load as well as giving a distinct approach to their daily chores. The fact that biogas as a product has multiple usage further added value to the entire idea. Introduction of bio-gas and LPG subsidies amongst the rural households in villages has helped save around 18000 quintals of wood every year. Moreover, the intervention has helped women regain that sense of solidarity and sisterhood. By reducing their work load, it not only allows her to spend more time with family but also enhances their sense of womanhood.
