Intended to provide quality education to meritorious students coming from underprivileged backgrounds, Adani Vidya Mandir, Ahmedabad was established in the year 2008. AVM is a CBSE affiliated English medium school and is the first of its kind initiative. The School provides “Free of Cost” quality education to meritorious kids with weaker socio-economic backgrounds. Apart from the best in class academics, AVM also provides these young meritorious students with free of cost transportation, uniform, textbooks, notebooks, breakfast, lunch and refreshments. Presently, Adani Vidya Mandir, Ahmedabad is empowering around 995 meritorious students up to 12th grade. Having nurtured exemplary students like Ms. Rinku Rajpal, Contractor Manthan B V C, Master Talaviya Yagnik,  and many more, AVM-Ahmedabad is surely making impact in the communities.

 

Further, owing to the success of AVM Ahmedabad, the Foundation has replicated a similar model in two other places.

Surguja

Replicating the successful Adani Vidya Mandir (AVM) school model, AVM Surguja was established in 2013. AVM-S provides facilities for the overall physical, mental and intellectual development of the students. All academic and non-academic facilities are provided free of cost to the students. In the current academic year, the student strength is 561.

Bhadreshwar

Adani Vidya Mandir, a unique Gujarati medium school was started in June 2012 at Bhadreshwar village of Mundra in Gujarat. The objective is to provide free education to children of fisher-folk community and economically challenged families. The Foundation provides nutritious food to the pupils including breakfast, lunch and snacks every day. Special care is taken towards high quality education and overall development of the children. The children are groomed to go back to their families and communities and be the agents of change.

 

In the current academic year, Adani Vidya Mandir has become a school providing education from 1st to 10th standard, with a total strength of 387 students. Remedial classes are also organised at the school which is additional coaching for newly enrolled students to help them cope up with new syllabus. 

 

In all the AVMs, evaluation for the students’ performance are  conducted at regular intervals based on the following parameters :  Ability of understanding, interest area, writing, cleanliness, extra-curricular activities, reading ability, subject-wise performance, attendance, creative ability, team work ability and leadership ability.  Regular training, workshops and presentation sessions are organized for capacity building of the teachers as well.

Adani Surguja Football Academy

The Surguja Football Academy which started in 2013-14 in association with Surguja & Chhattisgarh State Football Association has already produced 17 players who got selected for our national football team and 6 others, who played for the coveted Subro

Swachhagraha

Swachhagraha draws inspiration from Satyagraha movement for achieving and maintaining the state of Cleanliness in form of a culture and not a one-time activity.
